Mmmm free in-game items

Sign into your gamertag on xbox.com and then hit this link to head over to the Fable 2 site. Once you complete your quest you will be awarded some in game items to use in Fable 2. Nice.

My benevolent nature earned me a Lionhead Studios tattoo and hero doll, which apparently will be waiting for me when I buy Fable 2. Hurrah.

The site seems to work best in Internet Explorer

Also if you into kicking chickens, go here.

Free De Niro and Pacino Gamerpics!

Yep, got myself a free Robert De Niro Gamerpic from the US Xbox LIVE Marketplace last night, check it out over on the right. Along with an Al Pacino Gamerpic, there’s also a free theme to download to promote their new movie: Righteous Kill.

If you are in Europe and fancy access to the US Xbox LIVE Marketplace, take a look at this previous post I put together back in July.

How to… Xbox 360 region free games

I can remember the days when being a PAL gamer and wanting to play NTSC imports was all about various bridge adapters/converters, and filing down tabs on cartridge slots…

(

My faithful Megadrive “Game Adapter” used for many an import. No idea where my SNES Action Replay, or Super FX chip converter is though these days :(

Those days are long gone though. DS, PSP and PS3 titles don’t carry any region protection, and many 360 titles are actually region free.

Its worth considering importing the odd 360 title as it can work out considerably cheaper. For example, the Asian version of Soul Calibur IV is region free, and at Play-Asia its only 25 quid. Bargain.

Play-Asia probably has the most up to date and  comprehensive regional compatibility guide.

Another place to keep an eye on is the blog over at Videogamesplus (who run an excellent online store) They normally run a region free check on 360 titles as they get stock in, so its very up to date.

Some cheap Microsoft points

Noticed over at HotUKDeals that Tesco are currently selling 2100 Microsoft point cards for £13.97. Use the code ‘Freedel’ at the checkout for free delivery.

Ive just bagged myself some, should come in handy for the current Summer of Arcade and Bionic Commando Rearmed, which is out next Wednesday. Nice.

Bargains over at Gamestation.co.uk

Theres a sale going on over at Gamestation, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution are pretty tempting at 19.99 each…
