Super Mario 64 Challenge

Ive been going through these videos for the last hour or so, and they are truly excellent :) Firstly a little info:

Two Japanese players invent a new game inside of Mario 64 – activate a 1up mushroom from a tree then attempt to gather all 8 red coins on a level and collect the star without letting the 1up mushroom reach you. Since the mushroom chases you very fast and can fly anywhere, this is extremely difficult.

Now that sounds fun, but not all the amazing, no? Wrong. What makes these videos excellent is the narration. Now I understand no Japanese what so ever, but  you don’t need to, it all in the shear PANIC expressed by the guys due to the chasing 1up :)

Former production team behind the 1Up show launch Area5 and a new series called Co-op

The former production team behind The 1UP Show, have today today launched AREA5 and the first episode of their own new series called Co-op.

There is a Youtube channel to subscribe to, along with a downloadable version at http://vimeo.com/2904657 (requires an account)

This is the 3rd project to get off the ground by former 1Up employees in the last few weeks, following the layoffs after UGO’s purchase of 1UP.com. Rebel FM and The GeekBox are both podcasts from the former employees.
